Participation in ECHO CYMH Improved Primary Care Provider Self-Efficacy
In 2021-2022, we delivered a total of 55 ECHO accredited sessions for primary care providers. Of those ECHO Sessions, 48 were in Cycles 11 and 12 for Primary Care Providers and seven were Special Interest ECHO Sessions (SIES).
COVID-19 continued to impact everyone over the 2021-2022 fiscal year, but ECHO Ontario CYMH was able to offer the entire program without any interruption. Being a leader in offering sessions virtually meant that we could continue to focus on the changes to individual sessions and topics rather than changing how we work. Engagement during sessions continued successfully, even increased at times, although Zoom fatigue did lead to some cameras being turned off. Sessions were adapted to include information specific to COVID-19 and how to provide mental healthcare to patients virtually, in offices, and through hybrid models.
Across all sessions, 55 patients were discussed, 55 medical education hours provided, 55 didactic presentations given and 2,695 CPD credits provided. There were 677 Learning Partners who participated from 140 geographic locations.
