Session Format

• A Didactic Presentation:  a presentation on a specific CYMH topic facilitated by one of our Hub Specialists. 
• Case-Based Learning: A Learning Partner will present a case from their own practice about a CYMH concern. These will be both new and follow-up CYMH case presentations. The Learning Partners and Hub Specialists will discuss the case, ask clarifying questions and provide suggestions on how the presenter can move forward with their case.

Program Learning Objectives

After participating in ECHO Ontario CYMH, learners will be able to:

• Identify differential diagnoses for mental health symptoms commonly seen in primary care practice
• Name diagnostic and screening tools for common mental health problems that present in primary care settings
• Name the most effective psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacologic treatments and management strategies for common mental health problems in primary care settings
• Identify components of best practice in psychopharmacological care for children and adolescents
• Recognize strategies for accessing local mental health services and name the services in the Learning Partner's geographical area
• Identify strategies for using community services, particularly in combination with medications
• Apply the acquired knowledge and implement the learning by participating in assisting other Learning Partners to find clinical solutions during the case-based learning portion of the clinic
