ECHO Model

Easy Access

• Healthcare providers can attend ECHO sessions virtually from any location, and join via a phone, a laptop or a tablet, through Zoom Technology, a free web-based videoconferencing system.
• There is no cost for Healthcare providers to participate in the program.

Best Practice

• Our program shares best practices throughout our didactic presentations on child and youth mental health topics.
• This 1-credit-per-hour Group Learning program has been certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada and awards continuing professional development (CPD) credits.

Case-Based Collaborative Learning

• Participants are encouraged to present de-identified patient cases to the community, as well as to ask questions and to offer advice, experience, thoughts and insights throughout each session.
• Through the ECHO Model, community providers and specialists learn from each other, acquire knowledge, skills, increase competency and build a strong community of practice.
• We encourage everyone to present cases for group discussion, to ask questions and to offer advice, experience, thoughts and insights throughout each cycle.

Continuous Improvement

• We provide opportunities for feedback and evaluate every ECHO Session to continually improve the learning experience and to tailor the sessions to each cohort's' needs.
